My Journey
Growing up as a foster sister to children with Autism, ADHD, Down Syndrome, childhood trauma, and other profound disabilities has given me a deep understanding of a wide range of learning and behavioral differences —knowledge that goes well beyond formal training.
After dedicating many years to both mainstream and Special Educational Needs (SEN) education, I have developed a strong passion for empowering children with autism and advocating for their human rights. I am deeply committed to ensuring they are treated with fairness, dignity, and equality, and given every opportunity to thrive alongside their neurotypical peers. Through my experiences, I have seen how the right support, inclusive education, thoughtful adjustments, and teachers who believe in their potential can create transformative opportunities for these children. When children with autism are embraced for who they are and equipped with the tools they need, they can navigate the world with confidence and flourish while celebrating their unique identities.
While I remain steadfast in my dedication to their success and fulfillment, I also recognize that my journey as a practitioner is ongoing. I continue to learn and explore how to be fully inclusive in all aspects of my practice, ensuring that every child has the chance to reach their full potential.
